Twelve Weeks

It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends and 12 weeks for the rest of the world.

Just dropping in for a quick update as promised on my Eight Weeks post. At 12 weeks into my Dude-Get-Less-Fat-Seriously-What-Have-You-Been-Doing program, I’m down to 207.7 lbs, which is rougly 25 lbs lost and 49 total since my heaviest in 2010. My straight weight loss has slowed considerably as my strength (and muscle) has been jumping up rapidly from doing CrossFit 4-5 times a week, mountain biking, and being active.

I’ve stopped worrying about the scale for the most part, and am focusing on body fat and strength. I feel really good. I mean, really good. I want to be active because I enjoy it for the first time I can remember. I’m not even close to done either, but I’ve settled into this as a lifestyle and not a sprint or short term goal. I’ll probably check in again someday. Maybe the 6 month mark.
